Irvin, Edmund Carol, passed away, Saturday, March 6, 2010.
Beloved husband of Dolores Irvin (nee Hartley); dear father of Thomas (Jean) Irvin of Eagan, MN & Sharon (Bill) O'Neal of Chesterfield, MO; loving grandfather of Thomas Douglas (Heidi) Irvin of Fargo, ND, Nicole (Nick) Daniel of Des Moines, IA, Caitlin (Brian) Barre of Loveland, OH & Colin O'Neal of Chesterfield, MO; dear brother of June (William) Schweisinger; known lovingly as Uncle Eddy to many nieces and nephews and Mr. Ed to his neighbors and friends.
Ed was a Life member of Jefferson Lodge #553 AM and FM of Detroit, MI, Bonhomme Lodge #45 AM and FM, Ballwin, MO. He was also Past Patron of Ballwin Chapter #435 O.E.S. and Brentwood Chapter #429 O.E.S. and American Legion Post 208, Manchester, MO. Ed was a dedicated Federal Law Enforcement Officer who held many investigative positions with The Federal Bureau of Narcotics, The Bureau of Narcotics & Dangerous Drugs (BNBD), Chief Investigator for the White House Office of Drug Abuse & Law Enforcement, The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and The Missouri Dental Board. He was the Special Agent in charge of the St. Louis office for the DEA and an aviation pilot for the DEA. He received the Attorney General's Award for Law Enforcement as well as numerous other awards for his lifetime commitment to law enforcement. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, friends and co-workers.
Services: A Masonic Service, Eastern Star Service and Memorial service will be held Sunday 3:00pm. at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin. If desired, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
